   He plays at the Carlyle every Monday in Oct. Nov and Dec...   
   so hopefully you'll get there.   
   The combo was great ...including Woody of course.   
   I would not describe him as a virtuoso...but people came from as far away as   
   Australia...and  *everyone* was quite thrilled to be there   
   (myself included).   
      
   Here is the funny thing though... I did not bring my camera because I   
   did not want to look like too much of a tourist...however it seems like   
   everyone in the place pulled out a camera and took a few snapshots!   
      
   Although , in theory with just the cover charge you can get in and stand at   
   the   
   bar...I did not want to take a chance on missing the show...so I made dinner   
   reservations several weeks in advance. The meal was expensive but, hey...why   
   not splurge for once?   
   BTW: We made up for it the next day in Chinatown. My girlfriend & I had a   
   good lunch for about $8.00 total!
