I thought Anything Else was a great film. to say he's made "flops" for 6-7
   years is stupid.

Sweet and Lowdown was a great film.

Small Time Crooks was funny in the same way as Take the Money and Run was
   funny.

Anything Else was a very deep and well made film about life and personal
   choices.

Melinda and Melinda was a nice experiment on tragedy vs comedy.

And Match Point extends on Crimes and Misdemeanors, this time showing a
young man's rise into the upper class and adding "luck" into the equation
instead of personal guilt as in Crimes. C + M also suffered because you
never really experienced the marriage or the mistress, plus the comedy
   subplot didn't fit.

Match Point is an A quality film.
