|    discussing Woody's movies    |

From: dfreem3@nospam.shaw.ca              I just saw Woody's latest movie, Anything Else, and it bugs me that I       don't know anyone else who has seen it. I'm looking for people who like       to discuss his movies critically. Is this the place?              I was very disappointed by Anything Else, and even liked Hollywood       Ending better. Hollywood Ending was very flawed but had some wildy       humorous scenes. Anything Else was so muted, I couldn't really       appreciate much of it, except for Stockard Channing's scenes. Christina       Ricci's scenes were often very flat, I felt.              I see the problem as Woody wondering what to do with himself in his       movies. Now that he's given up the love interest, did he really need a       red Porche?              I consider Woody to be perhaps America's greatest living director. Most       movie directors do great work in their old age. I'm hoping Woody soon       figures out how to do great work again.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
