   what I was trying to say is that IF you have respect for someone, you   
   will show respect for what they believe. for example if you have a   
   Jewish friend you will not say something to them that would be offensive   
   to a Jewish person. OTOH I would not refrain from denigrating the   
   beliefs of someone who I had nothing but contempt for.
