I love the moon - my parents managed to buy me a refractive
telescope when I was 11. It was only good for looking at the
moon, but what a fucking view! But it was out in front of the
house in a suburban city of a million people. Forget trying to
find even a star. Although I found a use when the older 13 year
old red haired girl across the street agreed to pose naked for
me while I trained my scope on her. It didn't work very well,
but I never told her that because she enjoyed it so much.

But when I was 4 years old my mother told me the secrets of the
Universe and I could never sleep at night after that - to this
day. She told me about how everything had it's place - the
Earth, along with all the other planets orbited around the Sun.

She explained that the sun orbited the around the center of
Milky Way galaxy. And that all of the millions of galaxies just
like the Milky Way were spinning around the center of the
   Universe.

My insomnia started after that. I'd spend nights awake trying to
figure out what was outside the Universe. Luckily for me there
have been thousands of men & women a hell of a lot smarter than
I could ever be are working on this question day and night.

And thanks to TV & the Internet I get to read about it all the
   time!
