   Actually, not really.  Joshua did say that many were called but few were   
   chosen and Revelation does say that only 144,000 will be saved.  That is   
   about 70 people a year worldwide if the end comes very, very soon.   
      
   But then the bible is nothing but a book of contradictions.  The authors   
   have Joshua even contradicting himself within a few verses, not once, not   
   twice, but frequently.  Something about a committee and an elephant comes to   
   mind.
