   I like the quote.

Sometimes as I walk down the street kiddies try to engage me in converation.

At least in my neighbourhood I am reasonably well-known for not giving
most kiddies the time of day.

I don't usually feel the need to explain myself to juniors. But if I
had a personality transplant it would be along the lines of:

Aw c'mon. Do you seek out or want to have long conversations with 2 year olds?
No. 2 year olds are obviously stoopid! You have nothing in common.
I am over 60 and you are still in primary school. I am not interested
in whatever you have to say. I have been you, you have not been me.

50 years in life experience makes a difference.

But what about 1 million years.

Between individuals that don't share anything genetrically, culturally or
likely chemically or psychologically to start with.

   Nope.

Humans think ET's should be falling over each other wanting to talk to us,
or teach us, or solve our problems for us out of the goodness of whatever
passes for circulatory organ or organs. So why aren't they?

Just like juniors in my neighbourhood.

And BTW, by your logic, the 1998 hot year (supposedly hottest EVAHH)
just proved hot years are rare. Does that sound right to you?
Yes, take time and think it through.
