   First question, why is Israel a socialist country?  Second question, should   
   we cut out just the foreign aid to Israel, or should we cut out ALL FOREIGN   
   aid?

   But why is is that we *never* hear about *socialism* in Israel, whose   
   *real* socialist government and programs rivals those in the most   
   fertile ditto's head? After all, Israel was founded by socialists, is   
   home to the kibbutz, a communal work farm, boasts a grand,   
   multitiered socialized health care system, and its national labor union,   
   Histadrut, actually built and organized multiple state owned corporations.   
      
   In fact, it is hard to find *any* country anywhere in the world that   
   is more of a socialist "paradise" than Israel. According to Zev Golan,   
   associate director of the Jerusalem based Institute for Advanced   
   Strategic and Political Studies,   
      
   "An entire country is on the dole. The huge amount of foreign aid   
   that comes in props up a bankrupt socialist system and prevents Israel's   
   private sector from making any real progress. Those in power live off   
   the money of others and live for it.   
      
   In other words, Israel is a Socialist Welfare State of the first   
   order, but with a ruling class and an underclass, just like sweet old   
   China and the USSR. Kinda like, oh, dare I say it, COMMUNISM? Don't take   
   my word for it. Look it up. Do the research.   
      
   Now why would you want to prop up a socialist country to the tune of   
   billions a year?
