   Attend college   
   Join the National Guard   
   Join the Army Reserve   
      
   Considering that the US was not fighting to win like we did   
   in WW2, Viet Nam was a meat grinder, 55,000 killed, thousands more   
   wounded, ducking the draft was a good idea.   
   You didn't find the sons of our congressmen and senators or Hollywood   
   elites and the wealthy serving in Viet Nam.
