   [with posthumous apologies to Douglas
    Adams, who was a self-described
    "radical atheist"]

~ Now it is such a bizzarely improbable
~ coincidence that anything so mind-
~ bogglingly useful as creating life in
~ a lab could have been thought up purely
~ by chance that some thinkers have chosen
~ to see it as a final and clinching proof
~ of the non-existence of God. The
~ argument goes something like this:
   ~
~ "I refuse to prove that I exist," says
~ God, "for proof denies faith and without
   ~ faith I am nothing."
   ~
~ "But," says Man, "scientists creating
~ life in a lab is a dead giveaway, isn't
~ it? They could not have come up with
~ that by pure chance. It proves you exist,
~ and so therefore, by your own arguments,
   ~ you don't. QED."
   ~
~ "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought
~ of that," and promptly vanishes in a
   ~ puff of logic.
   ~
~ "Oh that was easy," says Man, and for an
~ encore goes on to prove that black is
~ white and gets himself killed at the next
   ~ zebra crossing.

Remember, the Bible teaches that genetic
alterations can be induced in cattle by
allowing your cattle (or in the case of
Jacob, someone else's cattle) to see a
   colored rod (Genesis 30:37-43). Warnock
has clearly been influenced by the Bible
claiming that genetic alterations are this
easy, and thinks that scientists are sitting
in labs showing tiny colored rods to viruses
(after first training the viruses to develop
   eyes).

According to Warnock, every word of the
Bible is true, therefore Warnock thinks
that Jacob really did genetically alter
cattle by showing them a colored rod!
