Actually, it does. Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you do not know the path of the
wind, or how the body is formed [ 11:5 Or [ know how life ] (or [ the
spirit ] ) / enters the body being formed ] in a mother's womb, so you
cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

(interestingly, we know now how the body is formed in a mother's womb, I
guess we can understand the work of God, eh?)

The term 'spirit' is equivalent to breath in the tongue of the biblical
writers. They, if inspired at all, certainly felt that the spirit, or soul,
entered the body with the first breath. Once a body stops to breathe, they
   thought the spirit left it.
It makes sense that they believed that a magic force was inhabiting them and
animating their bodys with breathing, especially since it's done without
   thought.
The bible is full of examples of 'breathing life' into something. Adam
gained his soul when God breathed life into him and he was definitely not
formed in any womb, according to the mythology available.

So, in the vacuum of further scripturial
