Pagan is a religion. 'True religion' is an oxymoron.
'To visit the widow and the fatherless in their affliction and to keep
yourselves unspotted from the world' could be a pagan mandate predating your
religion's use of it. Christianity stole heavily from the pagan beliefs and
then turned on them, despising their fathers.
I'm afraid that your confidence in your beliefs is only caused by your lack
of understanding of the religions that it was derived from. There is
nothing unique or new in the Christian faith. It is all just a rehash of
   someone else's religion.
It's only popular because it is one of the few religions where you are
encouraged to judge others and then hide behind your deity when people call
   your bluff.
If you were to follow this pattern, you'd ask me to take my complaint to
Jesus since you don't want to hear it. Rather cowardly, wouldn't you say?
