Who said anything about requiring a 2 button mouse? It's nice that OS
X supports the second button, why not offer the hardware? It's a
missed opportunity as far as I'm concerned. Second, you don't dumb
the computer down to the level of the most novice user. How long do
you figure it would take a user to get used to a second mouse button?
A day or two? Lets not forget either, that I'm not the one who
   brought it up.

But it's aggrivation. When you are buying a new machine, you want to
get the whole thing at once from one vendor. It would also be nice to
have a two button mouse that matches the computer. Part of the appeal
of Mac's is that they are such nice looking machines. At the very
least, they should give you the option to remove the mouse and knock a
few bucks off the price of the machine.

It's $50 that apple could have got from me.

Then why not offer it as a replacement upgrade? A white (apple
branded) trackball would look so much better than the clear one I
have. Alright, maybe the trackball is going too far, but an emac
style 2 button mouse should have been an option for me.

I did. Apple should have offered me the option. Thats $50 they would
have got from me, and I'd have a matching mouse.

   >memory.
I would have to agree with you here, but it's not eithor-or, it's
both. Apple RAPES their customers with ram upgrades. My cousin
bought a 256mb upgrade with his emac and paid like $125. They tried
to rape him on cdrw's as well. I told him he was nuts but he did it
anyway. We stoped at comp-usa and they had a 512 that was comp with
the eMac and it was $69.
