One of the biggest errors that Apple made in the mid-90s was offering
too many models of computer and too many options on the machines. It
created a serious sense of confusion about their products and did real
damage to them. Now, offering options for the type of mouse you can buy
is hardly the same, but one of the "corrections" that had to be made to
Apple when Steve Jobs returned was paring all that down. I agree Apple
should consider making this an option at some point, but given that
their energies have fallen primarily into the "keeping the company
alive during an OS transition" effort, I'd say it's a minor issue. File
under "who really gives a shit."

   It does.

Funny. How could that possibly be analogous when it was Microsoft--and
NOT Apple--who was found guilty of abusing its monopoly power?
