Sure, I lived on the edge of a village and some       kids live in cities - but I always knew better than to wander off in a       city, despite never being explicitly told that it was a bad idea.              Too much is blamed on society collapsing around us, when it plainly is       not doing so. The media love to tell stories though.              I find it *bizarre* that the advice people give children has changed       from "Dont go near strangers, and if they grab you, run like hell" to       "dont go near paedophiles, this is what they do to children". Like       children dont know that if their parents think someone is bad they need       to stay away. What are we trying to do, terrify them into line? -       because that never works.              Its a parents responsibility to protect children from the world, yes,       but the world isnt THAT bad for the most part. Dont believe the media!              (I would think all good conspiracy theorists ought to understand that!)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
