   I can't say anything about Barbara because I don't understand   
   her situation in life.  As for subjectivity in the medical   
   sciences in general, NOTHING is subjective in life, only   
   the interpretation and application.  That is why anaesthetics   
   work, for example.  What looks like subjectivity is ignorance.   
   We have not perfected psychiatric drugs - but we will and people   
   are better off now, than they were in chains and constant hell -   
   read some Roy Porter for the history of mental illness.  And   
   have some faith.
