Some of the experiments we learned about       pigeons have had an influence on my perspective as well. But       I've had hands on experience too Goo, which you have not.       You can't even comprehend the possibility that actually being       there to watch animals get slaughtered could make a person       feel one way or the other about it. If you were to see it happen       once you would undoubtedly be so overcome with horror that       you couldn't think straight about it (not that you can now)...       especially if you had to do some cutting...and reach in and       grab some guts....and smell them....and then they begin to get       dry and sticky...sticking to your hands and clothes... And that's       only one aspect. Then there are the times when animals are       born...watching them grow and learn (learn? Goo is lost beyond       any hope at the concept of a baby animal learning), and the       ways they change from being a young animal to a mature one       .....all those things and many more can shape a person's pov if       they experience them Goober, but you can't even comprehend       that.               There are those who see all that who still don't care in the       least about the animals too Goo, like Rick Etter. I believe he       claims to care to some degree about some wildlife, but probably       not out of consideration for them. He can see hundreds...       probably thousands of food animals experience life as any       other animals do, and still not give any consideration to what       they get out of it. So it's not only people with absolutely no       experience like youself that don't give a shit about the animals,       but it may only be people who do have experience that can.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
