Transcript of a discussion at a friends house last night:       Friend: Did you know that eating human flesh rots your teeth?       Me: Yeah, right.       Friend: No, it's true!       Me: You're sure it's not a causative link - some people who eat        human flesh have rotten teeth, therefore eating human flesh        causes rotten teeth?       Friend: No, well it sounds feasible. It stands to reason. Also, you         don't get any nutrition from eating human flesh. It's just like         drinking blood - you're better off drinking milk.       Me: ?????       Friend: I mean, carrots don't eat carrots, do they?       Me: Huh? Rocks don't eat rocks either.       Some conclusions       1. My friends mind is a mess       2. He's obviously picked up this 'eating human flesh causes rotten       teeth' UL from somewhere. Quick searches of dejanews etc revealed       nothing in this area. Can anyone point me in the direction of some info       on this?       3. Nutrition (or lack of) from drinking blood. True/False/Inconclusive?              Thanks                                                               I read a short story about a doctor whose plane crashed on a deserted island       dying of hunger who ate his amputated foot and went insane continued to eat       himself and mentions him theorizing the flesh is the reason for his teeth       rotting...maybe he read the        same story.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
