Rice's Marching Owl Band (the MOB) has a history of such chicanery. A
   sample from this site:

   http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/index?id=6937478

'In 1973, the MOB mocked two A&M institutions: the Aggie Band's
military style (the MOB goose-stepped in imitation) and collie mascot
Reveille (forming a fire hydrant while playing "Oh Where, Oh Where, Has
My Little Dog Gone?"). Aggies fans were not amused.'

They also once introduced their show in the Houston Astrodome by
welcoming fans to the smallest indoor football stadium in the world.
Astodome officials promptly turned their microphone off.
