I've talked to an aikido youth trainer -- aikido is one of the sports that are
recommendend for ADD and ADHS kids. She got a bunch (20? 30?) of kids that are
sent to class because they are diagnosed ADD/ADDHS, (often by doctors not
   really
qualified to diagnose that, she thinks...). Based on their behaviour, she
   thinks
perhaps one of all the kids might tend towards hyperactivity.

I've seen the "hyperactive" kids, and to me, a lot look like perfectly normal
kids that have been sitting around too long, glad to be somewhere where they
   are
   allowed and encouraged to move...
