   That's one thing I used to hate about the US. It was far too hot in   
   winter, and far too cold in summer. That, of course, was the fault of   
   the restaurants, department stores, many workplaces, and so on. Going   
   through a doorway between a building and the outside world, in either   
   direction, was a health hazard because of the sudden temperature change.   
      
   Much of that experience was in northern California. Perhaps there are   
   other states that live closer to nature.
