Okay, so this is a really old thread. I was looking for the original article   
   online but this is the closest I could find. As a native of Mt. Sterling, I   
   can tell you it is a true story. Ellen would move south for the winter, so no   
   one was looked for her    
   until spring. They never found any more of her and ended up burning the house   
   down. I could see the smoke from where I lived at the time. it was front page   
   news in a local paper because the area is so small. 216 people lived in the   
   village she lives in.
