Dinah Shore always had her mom with her at most shows and she accompanied her   
   daughter all over. Believed to be her nurse maid the lady in question was   
   actually Ms Shore’s mother, hence her real name Fannie Rose Shore. Also   
   evident in her recovery from    
   polio at a young age due to her mother’s insistence upon massaging her legs   
   back  to health as was the scenario with African belief in herbs and the   
   powerful healing attributes of touch.
