I was a child when this happened,and I remember the story and yes she   
   delivered a child that was African American they did divorce and I remember my   
   parents later speaking about the fact that apparently some of her ancestry had   
   African American roots and    
   I believe but not sure that they said that she had been adopted and I believe   
   the child turned out to be her husband's  had not known she was adopted as she   
   passed as white she had no knowledge of her ancestral history I wish my   
   parents were still alive    
   so I could ask them I remember this conversation in our house
