   FYI, dimbulb, a "desire" requires *****CONSCIOUS***** ideation, including   
   the ability to picture or otherwise imagine the object of desire. That   
   implies an awareness of time, which non-sentient entities do not possess.   
      
   I believe the esoteric concept you're groping toward is not desire but   
   rather instinct.
