   Well, I worked with Rec-A gene editing a quarter century ago. We argued it   
   was safer because it didn't use virus. RecA is like a zipper which goes into   
   DNA and deposits the new fragment. Now CRISPR/CAS9 has taken over, and seems   
   to have overcome initial problems. YOu should appreciate that nothing is   
   ever as it seems.
