   As this history shows, there was never an "india", that came when brits   
   took pen to paper and created it.  AT no time was there a social or   
   political endity that involved the whole of s. asia until the brits made it   
   so.   
      
   The history of s. asia is one of local petty kingdoms expanding for a time   
   and then decreasing.   
      
   It is also one of repeated groups coming vrom the n.w. into s. asia and   
   mixing with cultures there and forming new ones.
