   Sure, the Germans had merchant ships in the Baltic. They were *needed*   
   in the Baltic to ship, amongst other things, Swedish Iron ore and   
   supplies for Barbarossa.   
      
   They didn't risk them in the English Channel or North Sea where the RN   
   would have trashed them.
