   On many cycles the lure to repeat is that "the" idea was sound but the   
   technology to make it work wasn't there. "Now" we have better tech so   
   now the idea will work. And it will be glorious.   
      
   The actual fail point of "the" idea is always human nature which seems   
   remarkably constant.
