   True story.  Last year after our 15 year old dog died, we went to the   
   shelter a few months later to find another dog.  We didn't especially   
   want a large dog, but we ended up bringing home a female Redbone   
   Coonhound.  A few weeks later my 22 year old son asked me if they're   
   called coonhounds because they were used to chase down slaves!  After a   
   surprised laugh I had to tell him they were used to chase down raCOONs.
