   Thanks for checking.

Normally I wouldn't ge so interested in something like this, but when I
had a new roof put on, I thoughtlessly went with the would-it-have-been
a 25 year roof that the roofer was suggesting. I have what I bought
written down, but where? Later I realized if I stayed here a long time,
I would be needing a new roof just a couple years before I left, and I
should have paid extra for the better roof.

Not sure if the guy who lives next to me would have wanted to do that
and the townhouses are adjacent and I suppose if they had to change
roofing material on each row they wouldn't have given the whole discount
we got doing 2 at once, but I at least should have inquired.

So now, sure enough, I don't need a roof yet, but I will within another
10 years, not long before I'm moving out anyhow. This seemed like a way
to undo the mistake I made.

BTW, since our roofs match, when google outlines homes in map view, it
used to show us as one big house. I see it's stopped that, but now has
stranger problems. My building and most of them are 8 houses attached,
every two houses the elevation changes a little and the distance from
the sidewalk changes back and forth a little, but somehow map view now
shows only 7 houses and has 3 extra places where the lawn goes from
front to back between houses, even though it doesn't. (It only does that
at the ends.) There are 11 other buildings here and 9 don't show this
problem but two others do. Of course I know what the buildings here
look like but I'd better not put too much reliance on map view's
software in other parts of the US/world.
