   I was wondering the exact same thing! It really bothers me that I can’t put   
   two tray pans side-by-side on the same rack because that fan takes up a good   
   3-4 inches back there! So your observation about the racks makes me think that   
   it’s too    
   complicated of a process and that I should sell the one I have and get one   
   that doesn’t have the convection feature.
