   GIGO. People's health is poorer due to foregoing primary care   
   because of its expense. Hospital outcomes are worse because   
   people cannot afford followup care.   
      
   Three years ago I fell down the basement stairs. I was able   
   to afford the $45 co-pay for physical therapy, occupational   
   therapy, and speech therapy. The last two were for assessment;   
   PT actually had some work to do. Lots of people wouldn't have   
   insurance coverage for those things, nor be able to afford to   
   pay out of pocket.
