   Massachusetts Senate Bill 2246   
      
   Transportation and Emissions: This bill, introduced by Senate Majority Leader   
   Cynthia Creem, seeks to align Massachusetts' transportation plans   
   with climate mandates by reducing vehicle miles traveled (VMT). It aims to   
   promote alternative transportation options such as public transit,   
   biking, and walking.   
      
   Key Provisions:   
      
   Establishes a commission to develop strategies for decreasing VMT and setting   
   reduction targets for 2030 and beyond.
