   Twistin' the fact again eh? The downturn began in May of 2000. It may   
   well be that the situation did not approach recession status until well   
   into 2001 but that does not discount the fact that the Fed failed to act   
   when the first signs appeared in the 2000. Further, the dot.com bust   
   and Y2K task completion occurred in the Clinton years and contributed   
   mightily to the following recession not to mention the unknown of 9/11.
