Just some thoughts from a retired officer - very few enlisted members
vote and only some of the officers. Generally the days are blurred with
working 16 hour days and training exercises. The vast majority of
enlisted members are from poor families and about 40% are minorities. For
this guy to think they are all Republicans is nuts. Along with that most
folks that do combat duty find themselves more liberal than before. You
learn to count on others - they take care of you and you take care of
them. The selfish don't last long in combat.
