sorry but i must challenge the theory that   an overwhelming majority of   
   the currant     military are republican, more than a few of       todays   
   military are from inner cities and     cant afford college ,so they join   
   for  the      matching college fund. and most of those    are minorities   
   ,who tend to vote democrat.one thing that remains true even  today is   
   that most of the time people who  come from well to do families dont   
   join     the military because they have options.      please note i said   
   most of the time.
