   I read that first sentence and my jaw dropped.  That implies he   
   won't be charged unless the victim dies!  That's not how it works.   
      
   The 1st time I heard the story, the gun was taken from the father's   
   house.  This one says he stole it from his meth-addict mother.  Both   
   parents have extensive criminal records too.   
      
   This to me reeks of unfit parenting, especially the one who didn't   
   lock up the gun.  I think the parents need to be wearing orange jump   
   suits too.
