   I'm glad you mentioned Tora Bora. That was in 2001! Our involment in   
   Afghanistan should have ended then when Bin Laden and Al Qaeda gave us   
   the slip slinking over to Pakistan. It was General Tommy Frank who   
   screwed up and did not accomplish the mission. We should have moved on   
   at that time instead of waging war against the Taliban who had nothing   
   to do with 9/11. Clearly Bush before him and Obama should have never   
   continued the mess in Afghanistan, chasing the wrong ghosts. That was a   
   big mistake we are still paying for.   
      
   There's no way we can ever win against the Taliban short of nuking them   
   into the stone age which we aren't going to do. We could leave tomorrow   
   or ten years from tomorrow and the results will be the same. The Taliban   
   will take over, so what? If the Afghanis don't want to fight for their   
   own country and root out the Taliban, why should we? I agree that it is   
   going to be a mess and bad news for women but we have enough anti women   
   nonsense right here in the US without worrying about the Taliban. For   
   openers, lets vote out the American Taliban!
