   Partially true, Government spending has traditionally been 40% of the US   
   economy. But there are a lot more productive ways to spend and drive the   
   economy than wars. Wars drain the economy in more ways than one and they   
   do not circulate revenue very well because a lot of spending is outside   
   of the country, plus they are destructive.   
      
   Reducing government spending may send the economy into a tail spin with   
   massive job losses. Moreover, it WONT reduce the deficit because revenue   
   will fall off even faster. That's what's happening in England right now   
   with their austerity measures, it's ruining their economy and is total   
   nonsense. Austerity NEVER works.
