   Republicans don't believe that spending creates demand which in turn is   
   the only prescription for creating jobs. They believe in voodoo   
   economics where somehow cutting spending and creating austerity will   
   magically create jobs out of thin air. Where the demand comes from,   
   nobody knows.   
      
   Unfortunately Obama for his part has met republicans half way with this   
   insanity by reducing government spending and cutting thousand of   
   government jobs just when we need them most. The results are plain to   
   see. Obama has never listened to Krugman and others who predicted this   
   predicament and warned against it.
