   I wouldn't be too sure about that. I had a dream once, and during the   
   dream I experienced a bout of opthalmic / occular migraine. And after I   
   woke up, I still had a 'real' aura that was dissipating just past the   
   edge of my field of vision by then. (Yeah, the (cerebral) visual cortex   
   'mapping' goes out *past* what the eyes are capable of addressing to use   
   a computer metaphor.)   
      
   (NB: I always get the aura without any pain.)   
      
   So if gods want to show us anything by implanting fake video into the   
   secondary visual cortex (cerebellum vs. cerebrum), they need not wait for   
   waking.   
      
      
   And remember, the cerebellum evolved in reptilians which had extra colour   
   receptors now lost in the mammalian lineage, so our dreams are all   
   somewhat colour-blind.
