|    -[ Time Switch ]-    |

From: street@shellcrash.com              I define a time switch as a tool which turns turn on or off at an exact       time. The simplest example of a time switch might be a time capsule.       Time capsules are usually put underground with a note left telling       someone else to dig it up at a later date. Another more advanced time       switch is an alarm clock. Alarm clocks are designed to trigger a siren       some time in the future.              The problem with both of these devices is that they are not exact, and       they are not 100% reliable. If an alarm clock brakes or is turned off       again after it is set, the siren will never actually occur.              This might seem too simple, but think about a standard switch. They       can't when they are not connected. Time switches, can only truly       function when they are connected in temporal space.              Einstein created what scientists call the photoelectric effect. The       photoelectric effect turns light into electricity, and can also be used       to build a better temporal switch.              If a laser is shot in a straight line at a photo-detector connected to a       switch, something else happens which I am certain is significant.              The laser shoots so accurately and so fast, that we can say exactly when       it will trigger the photodetector, and be right 100% of the time.              This is a 4th dimensional breakthrough, and could lead to new       technology. I even think the mechanism behind the double slit       experiment has something to do with this line of research.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
