Later I converted that constraining into       > a suggestion for Goddess. However I do not know if that       > suggestion affected Goddess’s definition of goodness.              Also the constraining (and suggestion) was for both a       multicomponent goodness and an overall goodness measure.              The multicomponent goodness is the goodness of each someone       or something that is not a someone towards itself and each other       someone or something that is not a someone.              The goodness measure is an overall measure of goodness.       I used to say goodness norm, nut a norm is generally       always positive, whereas a goodness measure can be       either positive, neutral, or negative.              One example of a goodness measure would be the       goodness towards all/everything, but I do not know       if that is how Goddess defines it. Another would       be the goodness towards Goddess. (But of course       if all/everything is a someone ALL then it obviously       governs itself and in that case Goddess would be       the same as ALL, but I don’t know if that is the case.)              And someone can be very good in most areas and bad       in one area yet have a negative goodness measure.       An example might be a priest who is generally very       good but has sexually abused one child, who would       be at least the mild end of major criminal. (Whereas       someone who has raped an adult violently would       be at the worse end of medium criminal.)              --       David Dalton dalton@nfld.com https://www.nfld.com/~dalton (home page)       https://www.nfld.com/~dalton/dtales.html Salmon on the Thorns (mystic page)       “And the cart is on a wheel; And the wheel is on a hill; And the       hill is shifting sand; And inside these laws we stand” (Ferron)              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
