   When to use /A switch of COPY command?

   What kind of scenario when we need to use the /A switch of the COPY command?   
      
   I know what it does, but I don't see any advantage of using it. In fact,   
   when used, the resulting file copy may not be an identical copy if the   
   source file contains an  marker - which defeat the purpose of the file   
   copying process.
