From: gazelle@shell.xmission.com              Suggest that in future, people include the name of the newsgroup in parens       (as above). This makes it easy to spot legit articles amidst all the junk.              Thanks.              (Yeah, I get it. How long will it be until the spammers do likewise?       Well, we'll never know unless we try)              Also note: I've been thinking about suggesting this in every newsgroup (or       at least, all of them that have been Thai/mushroom spammed); this is the       first (alpha) test of the idea.              And, finally, note that this whole problem will probably go away when       Google disconnects from Usenet this February. So, maybe we just need to       wait...              --       The randomly chosen signature file that would have appeared here is more than 4       lines long. As such, it violates one or more Usenet RFCs. In order to remain       in compliance with said RFCs, the actual sig can be found at the following URL:        http://user.xmission.com/~gazelle/Sigs/God              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
