|    flatten file system - copy - no overwrit    |

I have a huge mess of photos in a lot of directories. There are copies of       copies. It's a mess. I would like to dump them all into one single directory.              There is one main rule. Never overwrite a file, instead, mangle the name with       a (1) or a (2) (like explorer does), and then copy it into the new flat area.              I think I could eventually do this with coding, but I thought either; #1       somebody has already done this, or #2, xcopy or copy or ???? has some program       options I can't see.              The batch should begin in a root and inspect it and all sub-directories. If       it finds a file with a defined extension (like jpg, tiff ....) it should copy       it to the flat directory.              Thank you.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
