   Thank you very much for all your answers.   
      
   I found that SETX is also built in in VISTA - at least in Vista Ultimate,   
   and a short help can be obtained by "setx /?" in a DOS box.   
      
   This is one more command I learned although I'm working with PCs for years,   
   so I wonder if there is a list of internal and external DOS commands, at   
   least those which have been added since MSDOS 6.0?
