Too       many resources have died for whatever reason and lots of valuable data       got lost that way.              To quote just one other example of copyrighted material: Britains BBC is       broadcasting many programs acquired from private recordings of sometimes       doubtful quality, because they got lost in their own archives. Most       antique texts have only survived as copies (not true, most are lost) and       in some cases only as short quotes in works disagreeing with them.              Copyright serves two purposes: The right of the author to be recognized       and acknowledged and his right to profit financially from it. The second       is not relevant in your case and the first would not be harmed through       distributed repositories.              But no doubt, the decision is yours to make and ours to grumblingly       accept.              Axel              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
