|    Bug, feature or my fault?    |

Having this directory structure and files...              C:\here\origin\File.ext       C:\here\origin\sub\       C:\here\origin\sub\file.ext       C:\here\dest\              While being "C:\here\" I do:              XCOPY "./origin/File.ext" "./dest/File.ext" /E /Y              (Answer FILE to the question about copying file or directory)       Says: 2 files copies . Shouldn't it be just 1?              I got (as expected) this:       C:\here\origin\File.ext       C:\here\origin\sub\       C:\here\origin\sub\file.ext       C:\here\dest\File.ext              BUT the content of the new file C:\here\dest\File.ext are the bytes from       C:\here\origin\sub\file.ext              Issuing the command with /F it says:       C:\here\origin\File.ext -> C:\here\dest\File.ext       C:\here\origin\sub\file.ext -> C:\here\dest\File.ext       2 file(s) copied              Well, it clarified what happened somehow, but I don't see origin\sub\file.ext       in origin parameter to justify copying that file.              I found no reference in documentation or help about this. Could someone point       me to a documentation source that includes references to this behaviour?       Is this a bug? An (annoying) undocumented feature?              Best regards,       Miguel.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
